US Cannot Downplay Its Atrocities In Afghanistan

Published 2019-10-19 23:30:36 by Drago Bosnic in Afghanistan, Anglo-5, Eurasia, Headline-News, Nato, Politics, United-States

KABUL – Escalating attacks by US forces over the summer have meant a higher toll among Afghan civilians. The latest UN report covering July to September found it the bloodiest three month period in Afghanistan since they started keeping data in 2009. Up 42% from the same period in 2018, the report found 174 deaths and 3,139 injuries among civilians. Total casualties in the first nine months of the year are over 8,000, again the highest figure in years.  The UN emphasized the rate of US attacks across Afghanistan have been surging in particular over the past few months, with… Continue ->

Has US Foreign Policy Changed?

Published 2019-10-19 23:10:01 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Eurasia, Headline-News, Mena, Nato, Politics, Russia, Syria, Turkey, United-States

By Steve Brown – While the dramatic US withdrawal from Syria is making headlines, little is being said about proposed withdrawal from Afghanistan or Iraq. The United States has invested trillions of US dollars in all three wars, with great loss of life, and little to show in positive results. But is there a bigger picture in Washington? Recent events outline an emerging pattern that may point the way to a new potential strategy for the execution of US foreign policy.    As pointed out by author and intellectual Tom Luongo, the departure of Joseph “Operation Iraqi Oil” Dunford as… Continue ->

Why Is the Deep State So Angry about Syria?

Published 2019-10-19 22:50:12 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Defense, Eurasia, Headline-News, Iraq, Isis, Israel, Mena, Nato, Politics, Russia, Syria, Turkey, United-States

By Steve Brown – Israel has been at war with Syria since 1948. Period. Full stop. It has been at war over the Golan, West Bank, southern Lebanon, and Shebaa Farms, where no peace agreement or armistice has ever been signed or accomplished between Israel and Syria.  During this time, the hegemonic power behind Syria’s war has primarily been about land, water, and resources, while Syria possesses tremendous untapped oil and mineral wealth.    Now in these changing geopolitical times the Kurds have been forced to negotiate with their neighbors instead of looking to the United States and Israel for… Continue ->

Who is Behind the Iranian Tanker Attack?

Published 2019-10-19 22:10:43 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Crime, Defense, Headline-News, Iran, Ksa, Mena, Politics, United-States

By Steve Brown – If on October 10th a Saudi vessel had been struck by a missile in the Red Sea there is absolutely no doubt that US State and its major media outlets would immediately identify Iran as the culprit. So far, we’ve seen no hysteria from US State claiming that Iran was the source of the attack on the Sabiti tanker, originally claimed to be the Sinopa.    Despite a spreading oil spill related to the attack, according to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), “No help was offered to assist by any country” even if Saudi Arabia… Continue ->

SAMURI: Could Turkish aggression boost peace in Syria?

Published 2019-10-19 21:50:59 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Eurasia, Finance, Headline-News, Isis, Mena, Nato, Politics, Russia, Syria, Turkey, United-States

By Finas Samuri – On October 7, 2019, the U.S. President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of American troops from northeast Syria, where the contingent alongside Kurdish militias controlled the vast territories. Trump clarified that the decision is connected with the intention of Turkey to attack the Kurdish units, posing a threat to Ankara. It’s incredible that the Turkish military operation against Kurds – indeed the territorial integrity of Syria has resulted in the escape of the U.S., Great Britain, and France. These states essentially are key destabilizing components of the Syrian crisis. Could this factor favourably influence the situation… Continue ->

Published 2019-10-19 21:00:04 by Russell Bentley in Anglo-5, Crime, Donbass, Eurasia, Headline-News, Nato, Politics, Ukraine, United-States

“Hi, it’s me, I’m back. Slava Ukr-anus!” The shameful history of US depredations in Ukraine is now beyond dispute and wide open for all the world to see. And it seems that the degenerates, killers and losers who came to Ukraine to exploit the war here for their own ends are all cut from the same cloth. From the pretty boy sex pervert, swindler and crackhead Hunter Biden to the would-be “Punisher” Mark Paslawsky, to thieves, mass murderers, nazis and Pravy Sektor volunteers Craig Lang and Alex Zweifelhofer, to aspiring terrorist bomber Jarrett William Smith, to deadbeat dad and eternal… Continue ->

As the trade war moves towards ending, will China-U.S. relations intensify over Hong Kong?

Published 2019-10-19 17:30:32 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, China, Eurasia, Headline-News, United-States

The U.S. House of Representatives has provocatively passed three resolutions to support the rioters in Hong Kong despite China repeatedly calling on Washington to not interfere in China’s internal affairs. The Chinese Foreign Ministry retorted back that the U.S. congressmen attempted to find a way to undermine the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong in order to damage China’s rapid development. A newly published U.S. House of Representative document titled “Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019,” which outlined three major points, aims to discredit and pressurize China over supposed human rights abuses in Hong Kong since the… Continue ->

Maduro urges to create ‘fighting bodies’ to protect strategic companies in Venezuela

Published 2019-10-19 15:30:26 by Paul Antonopoulos in Headline-News, Latin-America, Venezuela

CARACAS – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has assured that “a terrorist sabotage plan” is underway against state-owned companies allegedly designed by the local opposition and the US government. Maduro urged Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López and the Council of Vice Presidents to create what he called the “security fighting bodies” of Guayana Basic Enterprises, a group of industries located in the state of Bolivar, in the south of the Latin American country. Venezuelan President announced these measures after warning of the existence of “a terrorist sabotage plan” against the country’s strategic facilities, so he especially called on workers to… Continue ->

‘Russia’s response to NATO bases will not only be political,’ says Russian PM

Published 2019-10-19 14:30:21 by Paul Antonopoulos in Eurasia, Headline-News, Nato, Russia, Serbia

MOSCOW – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday that Moscow would respond politically and “militarily” to NATO’s initiative to deploy military bases near Russian borders. According to him, the establishment of Northern Alliance bases near Russian borders threatens the national security of the country. “No one denies that Russia has any interests of its own in ensuring its security. We are a big country, we are a nuclear state, and the desire to place NATO bases in our immediate neighborhood obviously cannot fill us with positive feelings,” Medvedev said in a statement in interview with the Serbian newspaper… Continue ->

Macron criticizes NATO’s reaction to Turkish offensive in northern Syria

Published 2019-10-19 13:28:44 by Paul Antonopoulos in Eurasia, France-Eurasia, Headline-News, Mena, Nato, Syria, Turkey

PARIS – French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday lamented Turkey’s offensive actions in northern Syria, calling them “madness” and criticizing NATO’s inability to react to aggression as a “serious mistake.” French President also said he found out about the US decision to withdraw his forces from northern Syria via Twitter, which combined with Ankara’s unilateral offensive makes Europe a junior ally in the Middle East. “Like everyone else, I tweeted that the United States decided to withdraw its troops,” said Macron quoted by Reuters. “I consider that what has happened in recent days is a serious mistake on the part… Continue ->
