MOSCOW – Russian FM representative Zakharova is having a little fun today over a rather telling ‘error’ made by Bolton. “Bolton, in his tweet on Venezuela, put the name of the self-proclaimed“ president ”of Venezuela Guaido (Guaidó) as Guiado,” Zakharova wrote on Facebook on Monday, January 28th.
She noted that there would be no reason to pay attention to this typo if it were not for the meaning of the word Guiado. It is translated from Spanish as ”guided” ”led” or “managed”.
The announcement of the situation in Venezuela Bolton published the day before. He stated that violence and intimidation against employees of the US diplomatic mission or Guaido would lead to “significant retaliatory measures.” At the time of publication, a typo in the name of the Venezuelan politician has not been corrected.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the report by Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security John Bolton, in which he made a mistake in writing the name of the head of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Juan Guaido.
At the same time, FRN notes in the interest of journalistic rigor, that Sputnik News also has made the same typo.
