BREAKING: Zionist Army Destroy Hezbollah Tunnel, Makes No Difference to Resistance

0 2,383

TEL AVIV, Occupied Palestine – Israel has concentrated its forces on the Lebanese border with the aim of destroying tunnels used by the Hezbollah armed resistance group, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

IDF announced on their Twitter account that an operation to “expose and neutralize Hezbollah border tunnels”, used by the resistance group to attack the Zionist entity from Lebanese territory. The operation began on Tuesday.

“BREAKING: We have just launched Operation Northern Shield to expose and neutralize cross-border attack tunnels dug by Hezbollah from # Lebanon to # Israel . # NorthernShield,” the military of the occupiers said on their Twitter.

According to the Haaretz newspaper, the Israeli Armed Forces were aware of Hezbollah’s plans to build tunnels on the border with Lebanon to carry out attacks on the Zionist entity. In particular, in 2013 the Israeli forces identified an attempt to build them, however, they did not discover any construction site.

In 2014, Israel created a special team that was supposed to locate the tunnels. In 2015, the country launched an operation to establish a barrier at the Lebanese border. Israel’s plans also included using technology to destroy the constructions of the armed resistance group.

Although Hezbollah is considered a terrorist organization by the United States and Israel, the group created in 1980 is recognized as a legitimate political party in Lebanon and enjoys close relations with Iran and Syria, with the three collectively known as the “Axis of Resistance”. This is because they are the only non-Palestinian forces in the Middle East who are actively resisting and challenging Israel.

This is especially important as other Arab states, such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey, have cordial relations with the Zionist entity. This is increasingly becoming the case between Tel Aviv and Riyadh as the latter is happy to see the Palestinians continue to be occupied and live without dignity, so long as an axis can be created between the two to resist Iran.

UPDATE: The Israeli military found the first tunnel excavated by the Hezbollah resistance movement from Lebanon into the territory of the Jewish state, army officials said.

“Israeli army troops found a cross-border offensive tunnel in the southern part of the [Lebanese village of] Kafr Killa. At the moment, the army has begun tactical and engineering actions to neutralize the tunnel,” the statement said.

Subsequently, the Zionist military press office reported on the destruction of the tunnel.

This is the first result of Operation Northern Shield, which began on Tuesday and which aims to neutralize all tunnels that can threaten incursion of sabotage groups in the territory of Israel.

According to the military, they are operating within the borders of the territory of Israel.

According to his data, the tunnel crossed the border between the two States, but its construction was not finished, so it did not present imminent danger to the Israelis.
