This was announced by the head of the recruitment and recruitment department – the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Personnel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Valery Dendeber, the press service of the General Staff reported.

“According to the decree of the President and the order of the government, during October-December, actions of the autumn conscription of citizens for urgent military service will be conducted. It is planned to call and send to the army some 17 thousand 960 people, including: to the Armed Forces – 9010, to the National Guard – 6500, the State Border Service -1550, to the State Special Transport Service – 900 people,” he said.

64.9 million UAH (2.2 million USD) will be allocated for measures to ensure the draft. These funds will be transferred to the accounts of regional military commissariats.

Dendeber noted that in comparison with last year the number of recruits increased by 3 thousand. This is due to the increase in the number of conscripts in the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard.

According to the representative of the General Staff, the main thing that attention will be paid to during the draft is the state of health of the conscripts. It will also take into account the marital status, in particular, which will not be hampered by the summoning of the person. So Ukrainian men wanting to avoid the draft had better hurry up and get married, to produce the next generation of NATO fodder.
