MOSCOW, RF – In what has been a week of considerable events, including a successful start of rapprochement between India and China, the preparations for the liberation of Idlib by the SAA, a series of horrific attacks by the KSA upon Yemeni civilians, and Russia’s huge announcement that it fully supports Iran’s presence in Syria – Russia’s officials are now again slamming the U.S for its continued support for ISIS and Al Qaeda in a number of theatres, from Syria to Afghanistan, and beyond.

Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, accused Western. specifically US foreign intelligence agencies of supplying weapons to Daesh [ISIS]. Russian lawmaker Frants Klintsevich said that the West actively arms, aids, and assists these terrorists, helping them to stay in the game.

Russia is in the process of creating eight military installations to defend Syria from Israel. Russia is working independently of the UN but along the terms of the UN mandate, to guarantee the safety of Syria from Israeli-backed Islamicist terrorists which Israel has armed, funded, provided medical and logistical support to, at the Israel-Syria border. Russia has moved against Israel after the US failed to come to terms on the withdrawal of its support for ISIS, and the US’s entrenching into ISIS support zones inside of US military installations and zones, in Syria.

In Syria, the terrorist organization Daesh receives weapons from semi-official structures linked to intelligence services in certain countries, said Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya.

“We continue to receive evidence of the supply of weapons [to Daesh] from outside, including through semi-legal structures and even under the aegis of intelligence services in certain countries,” said Vasily Nebenzya.

The diplomat expressed hope that the issue could be discussed at the international conference on resistance to illegal arms supply in the fight against international terrorism, to be held in Moscow on 3-4 September.

According to the Russian representative, “terrorist attacks are very likely to grow in numbers, first in the Idlib zone [northwest Syria],” adding that Daesh members use terrorist attacks under the age of 12.

The diplomat also warned that Daesh’s place in Syria could be occupied by another terrorist organization, such as Al-Qaeda. According to him, the decrease in Daesh’s activity allowed Al-Qaeda to reopen its head, with $20-40 million a month in funding. He added that the group is strengthening its ties with its North African branches, seeks to control illegal local businesses as well as invests in agro-industrial business groups in African countries.

FRN notes that these terrorist activities in Africa happen precisely in areas under the US-AFRICOM.

Frants Klintsevich, of the Defense and Security Committee of the Federation Council, also expressed his opinion.

“Of all that has been created by the Americans, neither Al-Qaeda, nor Daesh nor Taliban have disappeared. They survive, for conditions are created in which these groups do not die out. For example, al-Qaeda, leaving the active military struggle, created its commercial, economic, and indeed, money-making infrastructure,” said Frants Klintsevich.

“They are saving Daesh – let’s remember how American experts have carried the ringleaders to Afghanistan.” He added that “they [the terrorist organizations] are financially supported through the channels of intelligence of Western countries. Today, al-Qaeda, not abandoning its terrorist intentions, has strengthened itself as a commercial entity: it has its commercial representations, agricultural enterprises, and refineries. All this exists and works with certain permission. Being a tool that should always be at hand, it is sharp and ready for use. And this tool is mainly maintained by US intelligence. We talk about it directly and openly,” he said.
