WHY SAKER’S CALL TO IGNORE HITPIECES MUST BE READ BY EVERYONE

Raevsky created incredibly immoral and intellectually vacuous and filthy, defeatist and counter-productive propaganda which would make Victoria Nuland herself envious

Raevsky created incredibly immoral and intellectually vacuous and filthy, defeatist and counter-productive propaganda which would make Victoria Nuland herself envious, when he questioned the death of Motorola and, in his implying Putin “betrayed Russia” and would soon do the same to Syria and Donbass (and even more recently, Iran!).

And as for his contention that “the Anglozionists have little to lose by a Ukronazi attack on Donbass”, well, thanks, dude. I’d like to repay the favor by pointing out to all the MS-13 gang members in Florida that Andrei Raevsky is a punk with nice computers, money and some silly-ass weapons, and that they “have little to lose” by kicking his door in and helping themselves to it, and making themselves at home. (Be sure to tell ’em I said “Hola!”, Andrei!)  If Raevsky quits writing stupid shit like “Stupid Can Be Good”, I will stop calling it stupid shit.

Just when I thought the brouhaha was behind us and I could get back to more important things, I read Andrei Raevsky’s post about my recent criticisms and the Fort Russ follow-up by Navid Nasr. I have nothing personal against Raevsky, but I have a very personal interest in the Donbass War because I live here, I am a soldier here, and the war is here. I don’t want to comment too much about the childish, anti-intellectual, and immature way that Raevksy handles a conversation. But this was, and is, a conversation that needs to happen. What Raevsky doesn’t understand is that there isn’t a Saker community the size of the daily traffic to the Saker site, and contrary to his modus operandi, there isn’t a competition going on here. Every site has a handful of dedicated fans and supporters who express druthers for one over the other,  but in general the internet just does not work that way.
.
There is a community, but it’s a community of readers and activists that actually use the internet much the same way that people in general use the internet. They peruse any number of trusted sites. No big revelation there. Moon of Alabama, Fort Russ News, Global Research, the Saker, Al Masdar News, and the like, all share a continuum of readers, and this is what the community is. Thinking otherwise raises, for me personally, serious questions about how Raevsky understands the internet, our readers, and himself.
.
But this war we are in here in the Donbass and against Russia and anti-imperialist states in general, encompasses informational, economic and military campaigns. So when someone gets involved, I have a right to comment, and an obligation to criticize their work, especially when it is either treacherous or so down-right stupid as to be dangerous.
.
As is the case with an increasing number of Raevsky’s personal articles, including this latest passive aggressive hypocritical fake news tub of bullshit entitled “Why Hitpieces Should be Ignored by Our Community”.
.
Apparently, Raevsky has no appreciation for irony. Again, just as in his piece about Medvedev, he does exactly what  he criticizes, decries and asks others not to do. He says his “community” should ignore my criticism, but then proceeds to write over 1,000 words about me, FRN, and does exactly what he accuses us of doing by our criticism of his fallacies.
 .
He apparently has read my articles, but instructs you not to. “Do what I say, not what I do.” Sound familiar? Don’t bother with other points of view, Andrei will tell you what to think. He makes many petulant accusations and complaints, without citing a single concrete example.
 .
For example –
.
1) Raevsky starts off by accusing us of being liars – “they are mostly based on misrepresentations, straw-man arguments, pseudo-psychoanalyses and even deliberate lies.  Most of it are total fabrications with no basis in facts or logic.  I simply don’t have the time to engage in “what they said I said is not what I really said” kind of arguments.
.
First, in every single one of my criticisms of Raevsky’s musings, I use exact and specific quotes.
.
See for yourself – here, and here. It is not “what I said he said”, it is exactly what he saidSo by calling me a liar, he is himself a liar. And a hypocrite. And a hypocrite is a kind of coward. Ask yourself this question – do you think Raevsky would ever dare to call me or Joaquin Flores liars to our faces?  Of course not. He lists “Total fabrications, misrepresentations, strawman arguments, deliberate lies”, but he doesn’t “have the time” to cite one single example.
Not one…
.
2) He then writes – “The truth is that all of these attacks come from people and groups who want a monopoly on what they see as ‘their’ segment of the blogosphere.  To them everybody else is not an ally, but a competitor…  I am not interested in competition, ratings, ideologies and all the rest.  My only interest are honest, non-ideological, critical analyses.  Let the readers decide what they like.
.
– Again, Raevsky, with the irony. Is it irony, stupidity or just abject hypocrisy? He criticizes us for wanting a monopoly on the blogosphere, even as he attempts to monopolize it by instructing his “community” to ignore us and listen only to him.  And ‘non-ideological’?  Just because a person isn’t aware of their ideology, ideology is aware of them. It’s Liberalism, the liberal delusion that allows one to believe that their ideological line is ‘non-ideological’. I won’t even break Raevsky over the rocks of epistemology and ontology. He does that to himself.
.
He instructs our shared readers to “decide what they like” as long as they ignore our points and criticisms. And it’s not what our readers “like” that matters, it’s what is true, logical and furthers the struggle to defeat the 21st Century globalist police-state that counts. That’s all. We have to get over ourselves, and what ‘we like’.
.
The Saker’s roller-coaster of chicken-little outbursts, based in the cynical manipulation of liberal orientalist tropes about the Russian psyche or the nature of the Russian system, is not only opportunistic, it is little more than narrative script writing meant to keep audiences ensnared in a drama. This spikes reader interest at the expense of reader understanding of the actual world in which they live. And so it is not only cynical, manipulative, and exploitative, it is dangerous and creates operational hazard for real people here in the Donbass. I’ll explain why in a bit.
.
3) Another gem –  “Then there are those who would like to get noticed but don’t. For them to bark up a successful “competitor” is simply a crude way to market their own sadly unsuccessful websites.  What they don’t realize is that by calling somebody else names, they just display their own lack of talents, originality,  brains or, ironically, relevance.
.
– “Calling somebody else names”, eh? You mean like “pseudo-psychologists” and “deliberate liars”, “lacking in talent, originality and brains”, “sharks” who are “nauseating” and “dishonorable”. But he would never say any of that to my face, and backs up his insults with not one shred of evidence or a single quote, just whining insinuations, and the ‘order’ to the community about what you should and shouldn’t read.
.
4) And yet still, Raevsky’s crying continues – “Finally, I find all that nastiness masquerading as some form of intellectual debate is rather nauseating and dishonorable…  Sharks in the water come with the territory, especially if you are successful (just compare their Alexa rankings with ours!), but they don’t deserve to be treated with any respect or recognition.  We can’t stop them from doing what they are doing, but we don’t have engage in the same behavior.
.
– No, you certainly can’t stop us from what we are doing. And what we are primarily doing is not “intellectual debate”, it is fighting a real war for the future of Humanity. That is what we are doing, nothing less. No one thinks you’re “engaging in the same behavior“. It is you who engage in what you falsely accuse us of doing, not us, and every example cited in this article proves it. You try to criticize us by projecting your own mindset onto us, saying, “To them everybody else is not an ally, but a competitor”, and then compare Alexa ratings! And what kind of ally says their allies “don’t deserve to be treated with any respect or recognition“?  As I have said about Raevsky before, with “allies” like you, who needs enemies?
.
Raevsky implies I seek to gain recognition by criticizing him, a pillar of the “community”. This is laughable on every level. I didn’t get into this as a blogger or emotionally exploitative and self-promoting author. I am a professional revolutionary, a soldier, and have been at the front lines of several of the largest and bloodiest battles in this conflict in the Donbass. I have worked hard behind the scenes and following strict orders, working as a team and a unit, and I dedicated myself steadfastly to report on these events too, to bring to westerners the truth about the horrors of war, working with several independent media outlets. I have not fueled, every possible doubt. I have been shot at. I have risked being taken captive by the Ukronazi forces. I don’t need recognition, further recognition, or anyone’s approval or laudatory commentary. I know who I am and what I have done. Regarding Raevsky, one thing is clear: Fears generate clicks, and Raevsky selfishly thrives on these fears, at the expense of the information war’s success itself.
.
I have criticized his writing when I have found it to be lacking in intellect, evidence and logic, defeatist and counter-productive, and especially in cases where it mirrored the exact same line as Ukronazi propaganda.
.
Raevsky created incredibly immoral and intellectually vacuous and filthy, defeatist and counter-productive propaganda which would make Victoria Nuland herself envious, when he questioned the death of Motorola and, in his implying Putin “betrayed Russia” and would soon do the same to Syria and Donbass (and even more recently, Iran!) And as for his contention that “the Anglozionists have little to lose by a Ukronazi attack on Donbass”, well, thanks, dude.
.
I’d like to repay the favor by pointing out to all the MS-13 gang members in Florida that Andrei Raevsky is a punk with nice computers, money and some silly-ass weapons, and that they “have little to lose” by kicking his door in and helping themselves to it, and making themselves at home. (Be sure to tell ’em I said “Hola!”, Andrei!)  If Raevsky quits writing stupid shit like “Stupid Can Be Good”, I will stop calling it stupid shit.
.
I understand the comment policy of the Saker website, he just deletes what he doesn’t like, and have been censored there myself, so I don’t expect those who fill his comment section to begin questioning his writings. But no one owns a community, and no one of us owns the internet.
.
That’s how Raevsky artificially constructs his false and flimsy sense of community, by outright censorship of the comments section. The truth is too frightening for the hypocrite censor, indeed Raevsky seems to prefer a Potemkin village “community” constructed to suit his ego, not a real community where criticisms are allowed, and where no person is above reproach. The Fort Russ News comment policy is quite the opposite, and so the only real healthy debate – which Navid Nasr covered in his own very fair analysis of my first piece on the Saker’s piss-poor practices – happened on FRN.
.
As for any of you who are genuinely interested in understanding politics with the aim of making an actual impact on the world, I suggest you read everything you can find on the subject, not just what you agree with, and especially anything that someone tells you shouldn’t. Apply a critical eye towards all you read, and if it’s bullshit, call it that. That’s what I do, and it works for me. And I will continue to do so.
.
I am really sick and tired of this drama, but as long as Raevsky keeps writing stupid shit, I will keep calling it that. Feel free to read my writings, and if I write bullshit, call it that, citing the exact words, lines and ideas. We can talk about it, and perhaps learn something. Pay attention. “Ignoring” literally means to practice ignorance, to not pay attention, and we can’t learn much from that. But we can learn something by considering those who advocate ignorance, and why.
.
I have a long history of working with Joaquin and Inessa, and I have great respect for them and their work and for the other FRN comrades. Fort Russ was one of the first portals I got news from about the situation in Donbass even before I came here.
.
So was the Saker’s site, and back then, I even was FB friends with Vladimir Suchan. I thought Girkin was a hero too, before I came here and found out the truth first-hand from men who serves under him in Slaviansk. Some of them were left stranded and unaware when “Strelkov” made his “strategic retreat”, and left them there manning blockposts in Slaviansk as he ran. They waited for relief that never came. When they finally figured out what happened, the Ukrops were already there. The Ukrops were already behind them. They had to walk 11 Km through Ukrop held territory to get to our new lines. I learned early on that just because a dude wears dreadlocks, that doesn’t mean he’s Rasta. Same in the Donbass War.
.
Same in the Info War. So I’m rather touchy when dudes who are supposedly on our side start doing things which go against building a community of people who can engage in a debate on some issues, while being united on others.
.
I judge people by what they do, by the results of their work, and whether it resonates with me as smart, effective and above all, moral.  Morality to me is guided by my Communist principles, which are pretty simple – I want to see every hungry kid fed, I want every person in this world to have an equal opportunity to fulfill their human potential, I have a genuine and heartfelt hatred for any and all who wish to be masters of other human beings, and something between pity and contempt for those who would willing be slaves. What is good for the future of Humanity is more important to me than what is good for me personally. I prefer to reason and compromise, but those who refuse all compromise in their ambition to rule the world are my blood enemies, and I am theirs.
.
I’m also a baptized Orthodox Christian, and see no contradiction between my Christianity and my Communism. Most of my friends here are soldiers or Orthodox Priests. Several of them, including my Godfather, are both.
.
The principles of the Sermon on the Mount are compatible with the principles of the Communist Manifesto. That pretty much covers it, and other than that, I’m just a regular guy.
.
As such, I can make mistakes and get fooled, as I did by Strelkov and Suchan in the early days of 2014. But I figured out who they were by their actions, and the results of those actions. Once bitten, twice shy, so I am a bit sensitive when I see counter-productive and even destructive comments coming from those who purport to be on the side of the Donbass Republics and Russia.
.
When Motorola was killed in October 2016, Saker (sorry, but I just can’t call anybody “The” anything) wrote an article saying either Russia or Zaharchenko had killed him, or else they were criminally negligent in his death.
.
I wrote a critical reply, saying his conjecture had neither evidence or logic, and I provided both evidence and logic as to why he was wrong. I also pointed out that the exact same line he was promoting was also the Ukrop/5th column line, and I wrote that if Saker had any evidence, he should either “put up or shut up”. Diplomacy has never been a great talent of mine, I’ll admit, but I have always believed that truth is more important than manners.
.
Emotions were running high at the time. If Saker was agitated by the loss of a great DPR Commander from his perch in Florida 10,000 Km away, how do you think I felt? Motorola was a comrade of mine, we worked together, and by “worked together”, I mean we were in combat together at Donetsk airport, and his home where he was killed is about 500 meters (not kilometers) from my own. I heard the explosion.
.
But emotions count for little, and should not be a part of political discourse. The facts are what count – the line Saker put out about Motorola was the exact same as our real enemies.
.
That it was exactly the same cannot be disputed. Saker responded to my criticism by deleting my comment and banning me from his site.
.
But this squabble is getting old. The real problem with fake news, bullshit artists and misguided “opinion-makers”, is not the charlatans and buffoons who spread the bullshit, but the chumps who suck it up. There is a genuine war against reality going on now, censorship is rampant, and more is on the way.
.
The truth is out there, for those with the determination, intelligence and moral compass to find it. But if you think finding the truth is easy, you are wrong. And if you think you have found it without serious work and sacrifice, you are doubly wrong. Many people interpret their reality in a way to justify their own actions or inactions, so they can pretend that by hitting the “Like” button on FB or by commenting on a blog that they are “activists”. They are wrong.
.
If you want to defeat the nazis, cannibals, terrorists and their evil masters who want to turn you and your children into slaves or soylent green, you will have to take real risks and make real sacrifices. Otherwise, you’re just a spectator, a Monday morning quarterback with no skin in the game who has an unqualified opinion about something you don’t really understand.
.
I consider my criticism of Saker to be justified by the facts, by what he wrote. It’s nothing personal. I’m actually tired of this drama, and have more important things to deal with. My points have been made, and people can draw their own conclusions. I will continue to compliment what I consider to be good, productive, honest and moral work, and continue to criticize what I consider to be treacherous or stupid.
.
Good luck to all good people. May God protect the innocent, and may the rest of us get everything we deserve.
