The Ugly Face of Zionist Racism: Netanyahu ally invokes ‘chosen’ supremacy of ‘Jewish race’

TEL AVIV – The “Jewish race” is the “smartest in the world and has the highest human capital, so Israelis should be skeptical about current investigations into corruption by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” a Likud MP said.

“I can tell you something very basic,” Miki Zohar said during a debate on Radio 103FM on Wednesday, as quoted by the Times of Israel newspaper.

“You can not fool Jews, no matter what the media writes. The public in Israel is a public belonging to the Jewish race, and the whole Jewish race is the highest, most intelligent, most comprehensive human capital,” he said.

Citing opinion polls showing widespread support for Netanyahu, Zohar said the statistics clearly show that the “Jewish race” is too smart to be fooled by extensive media coverage of multiple corruption polls.

The rather overt racism and supremacism displayed in an attempt to defend the Israeli prime minister immediately put the party member in power in a delicate situation.

The high-profile statement on Jewish supremacy struck a nerve with Ahmad Tibi, an Israeli Arab-Muslim politician and leader of the Movement for Arab Change movement, who on Twitter accused his Israeli counterpart of presenting his own racial theory.

“An official elected ‘in the Jewish state’ presents: race theory,” he wrote on Twitter, along with a portrait of the Zohar.

The Arab politician then followed with a tweet from him reading Amos Elon’s book, “The Compassion of All: A Portrait of the German Jewish Age, 1743-1933,” which describes how a small minority came to be perceived as a mortal threat to integrity national level.

Zohar also used Twitter to bounce back.

“And on the back cover is a photo of Albert Einstein, another Jew who brought great news to the world.” Again, the Arab parliamentarian replied, “What is the connection between you and Einstein? It’s not even a relative relationship.”

In an attempt to stifle criticism and clarify what exactly he meant, Zohar gave an interview to Hadashot TV – but only worsened his case by denying that he mentioned the supremacy of the Jewish race until he was confronted with a recording of your statement.

“The Jewish people and the Jewish race are of the highest human capital there is,” he then reiterated. “What can you do? We have been blessed by God … I do not have to be ashamed of the Jewish people being the chosen people, the most intelligent and special people in the world.”
