Putin fires seven officials and appoints their replacements

Two prosecutors, five Interior Ministry Generals and the head of the Investigative Committee were asked to resign by Russian President Vladimir Putin . By the same decree, the head of the Russian state made 16 appointments to the the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Ministry for Emergency Situations. In particular, Colonel of Internal Service Maxim Maksimenko was appointed Director of the Department for readiness of forces and special fire protection forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Also the first deputy head of the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Major General Ivan Lukin, the chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Perm region, Lieutenant-General Victor Koshelev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Murmansk region, Major-General Igor Batalov and the deputy chief of the Krasnodar Interior Ministry Colonel Yury Kuznetsov. Putin’s decree is published on the portal of legal information.

The main resigned individuals are the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Perm region, Lieutenant-General of Justice Olga Zabbarova and head of the Investigative Department of the Investigation Committee for the Ryazan Region, Major General Vladimir Mahleidt, the prosecutor of Udmurtia Sergey Panov and the prosecutor of the Tula region Alexander Kozlov.

No reasons are given but Putin regularly replaces officials.
