WEST PALM BEACH, The United States of America – “We’ve started talking to North Korea directly. We have had direct talks at very high levels,” US President Donald Trump said, during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in West Palm Beach on Tuesday.

Trump didn’t respond to the question shouted by journalists of whether he had spoken with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.

He said they haven’t decided a site yet, but “there’s a great chance to solve a world problem.”

The US president also expressed his thanks to Chinese President Xi Jinping who he said “has been very generous” in terms of cooperation with the US on North Korea.

Trump announced on March 8 that he had accepted an invitation to meet with North Korea leader Kim Jong-un in May. The meeting will be the first of its kind between an American president and the leader of North Korea.
