The Vyborg District Court of St. Petersburg has authorized the arrest of two Kyrgyz citizens who tried to leave for Syria to fight among the ranks of the international terrorist organization Jabhat Al-Nusra.
The head of the press service of the city courts Daria Lebedeva stated, the individuals are 21-year-old Marufjon Isakov and 20-year-old Kamoliddin Azimzhanov – arrested for a preliminary two months while an investigation continues.
The detainees do not have a permanent residence or registration in Russia and are as such illegal overstayers from Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier today, in Dagestan, a group of militants were eliminated and another group are being held hostage in a house. Another ISIS supporter was killed in Stavropol. The FSB is amping up their work in anticipation of major events coming up in Russia in May and June: the presidential inauguration, the May 9th Victory Day parades (which attract millions of attendees all over Russia) and the FIFA World Cup.
