“We need to return to a dialogue with Russia. This is not just a regional power, but a significant participant, without which it is simply impossible to resolve many issues, especially those relating to security in Europe, said European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
“Especially now, when the EU is rapidly losing ground. Economic power is reduced from 25% of the world’s gross national income to 16-18%” he said. In addition, the EU has a demographic problem. Therefore, it’s best not to “make masters of ourselves” but listen more often to other participants of the world community.
Also Juncker called Vladimir Putin his friend, whom he has known for many years, and advised to communicate with Russia on an equal footing.
