EAST GHOUTA, Syria – A deadly Syrian airstrike has targeted a terrorist headquarters location in East Ghouta to the east of Damascus city center and neutralized tens of militants, including high ranking commanders.
The attack took place at approximately midnight against the Faylaq al-Rahman headquarters in ‘Atn Tarma.
Including in the dead were two high ranking commanders, most significant Abu Muhammad Jobar, the deputy commander of Faylaq al-Rahman’s 120 Brigade, and Abu Mohammad Seif, the military commander of the terrorist group.
This comes as terrorist groups are collapsing in East Ghouta. In only a matter of a few weeks, over 60% of the enclave has been liberated, with the most impressive aspect being the Syrian Army carving out three distinct pockets in the enclave, severely hindering terrorist resistance efforts.
Elsewhere in Syria, at least five pro-Syrian government soldiers have been killed after a Turkish airstrike hit their positions in Syria’s northwest province of Afrin. Further details of this can be read here.
