Two prominent jihadist groups merge to create the “Syria Liberation Front”

IDLIB, Syria – Ahrar al-Sham, which was founded by one of Bin Laden’s closest associates, has merged with the al-Zinki terrorist groups.

The resulting merger has established the so-called “Syria Liberation Front”.

Both groups were formerly funded and supported by the United States despite being jihadist.

In one incident in Aleppo, the al-Zinki terrorist group beheaded a 12-year-old boy in 2016.

In another incident, Ahrar al-Sham massacred 19 civilians, including women and children, just because they were Alawite, an off-shoot of Shi’a Islam, who are considered heretics by radical Islamist Sunnis.

Both groups are mostly located in the northwest jihadist-held province of Idlib.
