Pentagon unimpressed by Russia's deployment of weapons - on it's own territory

The United States "regret" the deployment of Russian Iskander missile systems in the Kaliningrad region. The Americans are confident that such a powerful weapon near the borders of NATO member countries will cause a destabilizing effect. It would seem that the US considers the occurrence in isolation - and nothing to do with NATO bases on Russia's borders.

The US military expressed its readiness to continue to monitor the deployment of Russian weapons. "Although this does not violate any bilateral agreements between the US and Russia, it only increases the tension between Russia and its neighbors," the Americans said.

The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia does not threaten anyone , but has the right to place weapons anywhere on its territory.
