One of the largest Ukrainian machine-building enterprises has lost an overwhelming majority of its workers, since the conflict in Donbass began. This was stated by a Verkhovna Rada deputy, Yevgeny Murayev.
“I spoke with the Deputy Director of Azovmash. A large enterprise – once it had 15,000 people working there. Now, barely 1,000. I asked – where is everyone else? He said to me: “Yevgeny, you will not believe it – they took them by the bus loads to the Russian Federation. Whole families, whole workshops left for Russia. Because they were given apartments, they were given a normal living salary – no one ran after them with a grenade launcher or in a balaclava. The people simply got work and a stable future,” Murayev said.
