"For harmful insects" - 10 embassies in Moscow receive pesticide powder in the mail

    February 15, 2018 - FRN -

More than ten foreign embassies based in Moscow, including those of the USA and Canada, have received mail with a powdered substance inside.

A source within emergency services noted that this happened on February 14-15 and the number of diplomatic missions is not final.

Among the recipients are mostly Western states - the embassies of the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, Bulgaria.

Fipronil is present in the powder, a chemical substance of a family of pesticides, used in agriculture and medical practice, as well as for fighting harmful insects.

What are they trying to say?

An investigation is taking place as to who sent the letters.
