DEIR EZZOR, Syria – More then 38 civilians, including 20 women and seven children have been killed by US artillery fire and airstrikes in eastern Syria, according to ISIS-affiliated Amaq Agency.
The incident occurred in the small village of Al-Bahra to the northwest of Al-Haijn in the countryside of the desert province of Deir Ezzor.
The US-led coalition is supporting the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in their struggle against ISIS in eastern Syria.
However, just as their airstrikes had done so in the battle for Raqqa and in Mosul across the border in Iraq, there has been a huge civilian targeting.
