The US military plans to create software to analyze the audiences of social networks around the world and influences on users.
The military has already placed a tender for the creation of an appropriate program. It is assumed that the development will monitor posts in social networks “through the study of colloquial expressions, differences in spelling, as well as slang, abbreviations and pictograms.” The software will determine whether the message is neutral, positive or negative.
There will be an ability to translate the materials into english (text messages, audio and video recordings, images, etc.) published in social networks. The required languages are Arabic, French, Farsi, Urdu, Russian and Korean.
In addition, bots will “determine whether it is possible to influence this particular audience, based on the received data.”
