IDLIB, Syria – The Syrian Army, Hezbollah and other allied militias have continued their operation on the Idlib axis (southern Idlib countryside-southern Aleppo countryside-northern Hama countryside) and has liberated a host of towns and villages in a short succession of time.
Pro-government forces advanced onto the Al-Hass plateau region north of Khanasser in southern Aleppo province and liberated the settlements of Al-‘Umayriyah, Abo Jaloos, Burj Al-Sama, Tell ‘Anbar and Abo Abdo.
This latest drive suggests that the Syrian Army are attempting to liberate the crossroads town of Tal ad-Daman, demonstrating the unpredictability of pro-government forces as they continue to liberate the Idlib axis from jihadist forces, primarily the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front.
However, ISIS has now joined the fray and has attacked both the Syrian Army and the Al-Nusra Front. Full details can be read here.
Battles are set to also intensify as pro-government Palestinian militiamen have also arrived on the front to assist the Syrian Army. Full details can be read here.
