Russia should toughen its requirements for businessmen from the CIS countries.
This was announced today in the State Duma by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
“We must react in a timely manner, and in a tough way. We give opportunities for Moldovan, Baltic and other CIS businessmen to make money in Russia. They earn money here, then they come to power at home and adopt anti-Russian laws,” Zhirinovsky said.
He considers the creation of the Moldavian republic a mistake of the Soviet government.
“Under the Tsar it was the Bessarabian province, with its capital in Chisinau, where the Russian Governor-General was sitting, and no one made any noise. Then they decided to create more and more ‘republics’ of the Union and invented Moldova. Now the Moldovians use any excuse to break ties with Russia. And for this – they get paid.
It always starts quietly – individual deputies are not issued visas. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Duma, the government are silent. And then more and more – until they prohibit the Russian language,” Zhirinovsky said.
