The decision of the Polish Saeima on the criminal liability for glorification of Stepan Bandera will have far-reaching consequences – in fact, by analogy with the law on the Holocaust, sympathisers of the Ukrainian Bandera will be prosecuted throughout the EU. This was stated by the former Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Elena Lukash.
“Poland has banned Bandera’s ideology and imposed legal responsibility for the denial of the Volyn massacre. The Parliament has introduced criminal responsibility for denying the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists. The law provides for a fine or imprisonment for up to 3 years for “anti-Polish” sentiment.”
“The EU will be on the side of Poland in this matter. The Poles have had enough of the heroization of Bandera, torchlight processions and the rewriting of history.”
Not so long ago, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law “On the legal status and commemoration of the participants in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine in the twentieth century.” In this way, 271 deputies granted the WWII Ukrainian Insurgent Army the status of fighters for Ukraine’s independence.
“For the denial of the Holocaust in the countries of the European Union, citizens are regularly convicted. The EU countries have both the standards of responsibility for “hate crimes” and the experience of prosecuting criminals. said Lukash.
A monument to Stepan Bandera in Lviv, who is said to have carried out the type of orders/crimes that even the SS soldiers struggled to fulfill. Recently, documents have been declassified which show that Bandera was in fact “Hitler’s professional spy”, with permission of the CIA, who went by the call sign “Consul 2”. Read about it here:
