January 28 , 2017 – Fort Russ News –
State Duma deputy from the Crimea, Natalia Poklonskaya, in response to US sanctions, has invited the US President Donald Trump to visit the Crimea.
Poklonskaya herself is on the Western list of sanctions since 2014, when she was the Crimean Prosecutor General.
“For example, if Mr. Donald Trump would have liked to invite me to a business dinner, he would not be able to because of his own sanctions – so he will be satisfied with the morning coffee with presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak instead. I invite him to the sunny Russian Crimea. The safety of Mr. President is guaranteed by the S-400 Triumph complex,” Poklonskaya joked.
At the same time, she stressed that she perceives sanctions only as a positive assessment of her work for the good of the Motherland.
“They forbid things when they are afraid – we are not terrible at all, we are simply defending our Motherland. Such a short-sighted response of our foreign partners in the form of sanctions restricts them in their own development,” she said.
The United States has recently expanded the sanctions list against Russia. As stated by the US Ministry of Finance, the decision was partly because of the supply of gas turbines to the Crimea. In addition, on January 29, the White House report on new sanctions for individuals “close to Putin” is also expected.
