Such actions in support of the Donetsk Peoples Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic in the EU and NATO member-state are taking place for the first time.

“In Sofia, the action was held under the slogan “Donbass – Silence Kills,” and in Plovdiv under the slogan “We support the Donbass, stop fascism,” report journalists.

During the action, residents of cities were shown materials on which the consequences of the AFU shelling were presented. So, in addition to photos of ammunition with the markings of Bulgarian factories “VMZ-Sopot,” and “Arsenal” made in Ukraine, the inhabitants of Sofia could see other photos of Lubomir Dankov showing many a destroyed multi-story apartment building in Donetsk and its environs, victims of shelling by Ukrainian artillery.

In October 2017, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev advocated the lifting of sanctions against Russia and called for other ways to resolve the conflict in the Donbass.

Earlier, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that the EU’s anti-Russian sanctions should be abolished.
