BREAKING: Kurdish YPG use female suicide bomber to attack Turkish-led forces in Syria's Afrin

January 28, 2018 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

AFRIN, Syria - A female fighter of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), has conducted a suicide bomb mission against Turkish-led forces in the Syrian northwest canton of Afrin.

The suicide bomber was identified as Avesta Khabur and the location of her suicide attack was the village of Hemmam.

Reports suggest that her suicide attack killed several militants of the Turkish-led forces as well as a Turkish battle tank.

It remains to be seen how Washington and the wider international community will respond to the YPG conducting suicide attacks in the same manner that jihadist groups like Al-Nusra and ISIS do.
