IDLIB, Syria – Jihadist forces, primarily the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front, are in complete disarray and have started withdrawing from key positions on the Idlib axis (which also includes Aleppo and Hama countryside areas that border Idlib province).
Prompting this withdrawal was heavy bombardment by the Russian air force that occurred all night, softening the defenses so the Syrian Army could attack key positions today. Full details can be read here.
The massive gains made by the Syrian Army has prompted for Turkey to beg Iran and Russia to stop pro-government forces from smashing the Turkish-backed jihadists. Details can be read here.
The Turkish-backed jihadists are getting so smashed that they have begun withdrawing from their positions in northern Hama countryside and Aleppo countryside and are fleeing into Idlib proper.
This collapse has seen the Syrian Army already liberate Jubb Abyad, Aziziyah, Ras al-Ain, Rasm Niyas, Rasm al-Jahash, Uwayjah, Umm Tamakh, Buwaydir, Rifiyah, Bayaah Sagirah, Bayaah Labirah, Qawlat Buwaydir and several other hamlets already today, including Tell Abu Ruwayl and Tell Almuqbirah.
This rapid advancement has made jihadist forces desperate and it appears that they are preparing a false flag operation to force an intervention against the Syrian Army. Details can be read here.
