ANKARA, Turkey – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Tuesday that Turkey’s anti-Kurdish operation in northern Syria will be conducted with the so-called Syrian opposition.
Erdogan was not considering to call U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the operation, adding that talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin continue, he revealed while speaking to the media after a parliamentary group meeting of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), The Daily Sabah reported.
Erdogan said Turkey “shortly will root out all terror nests in Syria.”
The regions in question are Afrin and Manbij regions Syria’s northern Aleppo province.
Yesterday, Erodgan denounced the US cooperation with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) who are a branch of the Turkey-based Kurdistan Workers Party that not only Turkey, but also Washington recognizes as a terrorist organization, demonstrating the inconsistencies in US Foreign Policy.
