GAZA CITY, Palestine – Members of Palestinian factions held a unity rally in Gaza City on Sunday to demand that the Fatah and Hamas leadership achieve reconciliation amid stumbling Egypt-brokered talks between the factions in Cairo.
Earlier in the week, Fatah accused Hamas of failing to commit to the landmark reconciliation deal.
In turn, Hamas accused Fatah and the Palestinian Authority (PA) of holding up the unity accord.
Both factions announced that they would delay transferring power to the reconciliation government to carry out its duties in Gaza.
