DEIR EZZOR, Syria – The Russian defense ministry revealed on Sunday that six Russian bombers obliterated ISIS positions in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor.
“On December 3, 2017, six Tu-22M3 long-haul bombers that took off from an airfield in Russia delivered an airstrike on Islamic State [ISIS] terrorists’ targets in the southeast of province of Deir Ezzor,” the ministry said.
The war planes smashed ISIS munition depots, command posts, human targets and hardware, according to the ministry.
All jets returned to the Heimim airbase safely.
