The Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to the whole of Europe. This was stated by Ukrainian President Poroshenko at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Duda.
“We are very grateful to Poland for its common position on Nord Stream-2 – this is a threat not only to the energy security of Ukraine or Poland, but also a threat to the energy security of the whole of Europe.”- said Poroshenko.
According to him, the pipeline is an “absolutely political project”. The leaders did not elaborate on how exactly the project is a threat to Europe.
“The common voice of Ukraine and Poland together with our partners from the EU and the US, I hope that they will be sufficiently effective in our further steps on energy security.” – he added.
