MOSCOW, Russia – Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian air force in Syria abides by international law referring to comments made by the Pentagon about Russian conduct in Syria.
“I can only point to the obvious truth and say that the Russian Aerospace Force is present in Syria in full accordance with international law,” he said.
“As for the US troops, they don’t have any legal reasons to be in Syria,” Peskov added.
On Thursday, the Pentagon commented on the recent encounter between US F-22s and Russian Su-25 jets, saying that Russia was intentionally violating an agreement aimed at preventing accidents in the Syrian skies, TASS reported.
