December 19, 2017 – FRN –
Over the past five years, 120 foreign and international non-governmental organizations, which were covertly used as tools of foreign intelligence, have been stopped in Russia.
This was stated by the director of the Federal Security Service of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov. Also, according to him, 137 agents of foreign special services were uncovered.
“Foreign intelligence agencies continue to strive to penetrate all spheres of our country’s activities. Naturally, this is met with strong resistance from counterintelligence agents. So, from 2012 to the present time, 137 staff members of foreign intelligence services have been uncovered.” Bortnikov said.
All above individuals have since ceased their work in Russia.
