BRUSSELS, Belgium – It appears German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron have struck up a more-than-cordial relationship during the Frenchman’s tenure as they weren’t afraid to get hands-on during talks in Brussels on Friday.
The soon-to-be 40 year old former investment banker is married to 64-year-old Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron. The two met when he was a student at Lycée la Providence, where she taught French and Latin as a teacher.
Macron has described his feelings for her as “a love often clandestine, often hidden, misunderstood by many before imposing itself”.
However, as the video shows, the French President could not keep his hands off 63-year-old German leader, suggesting that maybe his “love” for Brigitte is perhaps just a fetish for women much older then himself.
The two met today to discuss reforms in the Eurozone.
“There are different suggestions on the table, and I discussed with the French president yesterday that we will bring positions together by March,” Merkel said in Brussels.
Merkel said there was agreement that “we aim for a banking union.”
