The authorities of the DNR plan on providing housing to all those who lost their homes during the fighting. Alexander Zakharchenko, head of the DPR spoke about this last night during the television program “Frank conversation.”

“Now there is a census of the premises of former dormitories or buildings that can be converted into housing, and there is work going on in all the cities: in Shakhtersk, Torez, everywhere, there is a program, so the needy will be granted housing – restored or found equivalent,” said the head of state.

As an example, Zakharchenko cited the reconstruction in the center of the capital of two ten-story residences, where the legendary “Nines” – high-rise buildings near the Donetsk airport, were formerly tenanted but destroyed during the hostilities..

Yesterday, Alexander Zakharchenko said that the Donbass itself will decide its future fate in a referendum.

The head of the Donetsk Peoples Republic also pointed out that the peaceful settlement of the conflict between the Donbas and Ukraine does not depend on the negotiation platform or the participation of these or those mediators, but on direct dialogue between Kiev and the DPR and the LPR.
