The cost of air tickets for the period of the World Cup in 2018 has increased several times. The highest price increase is observed for flights from Moscow to Volgograd.
In the summer of 2017, you could fly for 6.3 thousand rubles, in the days of the world championship the cost rises from 30 to 40 thousand rubles.
The significant increase in prices is also recorded in other areas. The cost of the flight from Moscow, Sochi and Kaliningrad to Yekaterinburg at the moment is about 7,5 thousand rubles. However, during the World Cup-2018 – from 20 to 40 thousand rubles.
It is noted that the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) did not find a ‘conspiracy’ between carriers to increase the cost of flights for the duration of the 2018 World Cup. In addition, the department said that the routes to the venue of the football matches will be under close scrutiny.
The Mundial will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in 11 cities of Russia.
