SANA’A, Yemen. A mass rally in support of the Palestinian cause on the occasion of the centennial of the Balfour Declaration took place in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a on Monday.
The demonstrators stressed the importance of supporting the resistance movements and their projects in the face of occupation, and demanded the siege imposed on the Palestinian and Yemeni people to be lifted.
The raised a huge Palestinian flag alongside the Yemeni one.
The former President of the Yemeni Revolutionary Committee, Mohamed Ali Al Houthi, said in a speech that the Yemeni people support their Palestinian brothers and welcome the arrested Saudi princes.
Al Houthi pointed out that Yemeni Resistance coalition, consisting of the Houthi rebels and forces loyal to the ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh, is winning on all fronts, especially in the east of Sana’a province.
He also noted that today’s rally served as the best proof of Yemeni people’s awareness and interest in the main issue – Palestine.
Regarding the Saudi princes who were recently targeted by the anti-corruption purges launched by the Saudi regime, Al Houthi said they are welcome in Yemen.
He then compared the Saudi-led coalition’s closure of the Yemeni land, sea and air ports to the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
“The Palestinians are not terrorists, but the terrorists are the Israelis and those who are serving the interests of Saudi Arabia and the UAE”, Al Houthi said.
“Isn’t it a crime to target the Yemeni people like this for years?”, he added.
He concluded his speech by saying that Arab and Islamic issues are not in the interest of Saudi officials.
