KABUL, Afghanistan – Protesters voiced their frustration at the current state of women’s’ rights at a rally organised by the Solidarity Party of Afghanistan in Kabul on Friday.
The demonstrators held placards calling for the emancipation of women and an end to violence.
Afghanistan prior to the American-funding of jihadist forces was one of the most progressive societies in the region.
After the victory of the Taliban, misogyny took over state policy with women unable to reveal their forces and engage in many sectors of Afghani society.
Even after the removal of the Taliban from power, misogyny is still rampant.
