Syrian forces have made new progress in Aleppo and Deir Ez Zour provinces.
According to the field reports, units of the Syrian Army established control over three villages in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo province, following fierce clashes with Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) terrorists.
Backed by their allies, Syrian Forces carried out several precise strikes against the terrorists which resulted in re-establishing control over the villages of Hijara Kabira, Hijara Saghira and Jub Awad, located southwest of the town of Khanasser.
Dozens of the terrorists were killed and their ammunition depots and vehicles, some of them equipped with machine guns, were destroyed.
Meanwhile, military sources announced restoration of control in Al Jbeiliyeh, Al Abed, and Al Jamaiyat neighborhoods in the eastern city of Deir Ez Zour, following elimination of the last ISIS gathering there.
The sources said army units later continued their operations against ISIS terrorists on the southwestern outskirts of the city, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.
In addition, the Syrian Army also restored control over the public park and Al Nour Hospital.
Engineering units of the Syrian Army have already started to comb all of the newly-liberated neighborhoods.
In a desperate attempt to obstruct the progress of the army units, ISIS terrorists sent several female suicide bombers towards the Syrian Army checkpoints, though all of them were neutralized before reaching their destinations.
On the axis of Abu Kamal, the last remaining ISIS hub in the province, army units intensified their operations, targeting ISIS dens and fortifications, killing scores of the terrorists in the process.
