The British Times, Financial Times, Daily Mail and Guardian continue to harass Russia and the president Vladimir Putin, after the speech of British Prime Minister, Theresa May at a reception with the Lord Mayor of the City. May accused the Russians of interfering in the elections and the referendum on Brexit.
The Russian Embassy in the UK is one of few that is able to defend the country’s honor by publishing critical responses to British journalists on Twitter.
“Dear Times: Putin’s name has become a real brand, to draw attention to articles that would otherwise be read by few,” the diplomats wrote, accompanying the post with a photograph of the headline:”Putin wants division, and Brexit supporters risk becoming useful idiots” .
“Dear Guardian – If there are so few viewers watching RT, then why such a commotion?” – the embassy asks the newspaper, which reported that the average weekly audience of RT is 629 thousand people in Britain, while the same figure for the BBC is 8.5 million Britons.
