A terror attack has devastated the Afghan capital city of Kabul on Thursday, claiming the lives of several people.
According to Afghan media, a suicide bomber targeted a group of Afghan officials gathered outside the hotel in Khair Khana district.
At least 18 people were reportedly killed in the explosion which occurred after the meeting of officials. Lots of people were also wounded.
TV network Tolo News said at least five policemen are among the dead.
A security official said the blast took place near a gathering of supporters of Atia Mohammad Noor, the governor of Balkh province, and a leader of the mainly ethnic Tajik Jamiat-i-Islami party.
The responsibility for the blast has since been claimed by the terrorist group ISIS.
