Civilians in jihadist-held Idlib in Syria’s northwest have apprehended and beaten a militant fighter.
He was beaten for extorting money on the road near Ma’arat al-Numan
The town, with a prewar population of around 60,000, is located south of the provincial capital.
The fate of the militant and those who beat him is not known.
