Spain has honored the Lebanese flag during the National Day parade two days ago.
This was to honor Lebanese soldiers who raised the Spanish flag during anti-ISIS battles in August as seen in the following photo.
On August 17-18, a series of ISIS-claimed attacks devastated Spain’s Catalonia region, killing and injuring 16 and 152 people respectively.
During this same period, the Syrian Army, Lebanese Army and Hezbollah were engaged in the Qalamoun offensive that completely defeated ISIS from the border region between Syria and Lebanon.
In response to the Spanish terror attacks, the Lebanese Army raised the Spanish flag in solidarity.
As a result of this solidarity, Spain paid tribute to the respect that the Lebanese Army showed the country in the aftermath of the terror attacks.
