A former maid who worked at the home of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sued his wife on charges of humiliation and abuse, the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot reported.

“Sara Netanyahu insulted me, humiliated me, and even attempted to beat me”, the 24-year-old worker, whose name was not published, mentioned in her lawsuit filed with the Israeli Labour Court.

According to the newspaper, the complainant worked as a cleaner at the Israeli prime minister’s residence between August and September.

Based on what was stated in the lawsuit, Sara Netanyahu apparently did not allow the worker to leave on vacation or take sick days, and ordered her to refrain from absence even if her children were ill.

The newspaper added that Sarah forced the worker to put her clothes in sterile bags and wash them daily in order to not infect the children of Netanyahus.

The complaint also stated that the wife of the Israeli Prime Minister asked the cleaner to wash her hands about 100 times a day with hot water.

“There is an attempt to blackmail us by promoting these lies”, Benjamin Netanyahu said, pointing out that his wife is under investigation by the Israeli police for mismanagement at her home.

Sara’s scandal is not the only one that surrounds Netanyahu family.

In January 2015, the Israeli media revealed that Sara was accused of bilking the state out of thousands of shekels by pocketing the small change from bottle deposits during the first four years of her husband’s time in office.

According to Meny Naftali, the former caretaker of prime minister’s residence, she made around NIS 24,000 (approx. $ 6,115) for her efforts.

The Netanyahu couple returned NIS 4,000 (approx. $1,000) in 2013, based on an estimate of NIS 1,000 ($250) a year, according to Prime Minister’s Office spokesman Raphi Shamir.
