BREAKING: North Korea shoots missile straight over Japan

NHK, Japan’s largest broadcasting organization has reported that North Korea has launched an unidentified missile that passed directly over Japan.

Officials said the missile passed over Japan at around 06:06 AM local time. 

South Korea’s military said North Korea fired the “unidentified projectile” from Pyongyang towards the sea at 5:57am local time.

Meanwhile NHK confirmed that the missile passed over safely without detonating or reaching a target and that the Japanese military made no attempts to shoot it down.
