Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis met with the Private Secretary of Minister of State for External Affairs of Republic of India, Amar Sinha and his delegation, on Saturday.
The two men called for strengthening the ties between Syria and India in all fields.
Khamis expressed Syrian government’s appreciation of India’s supportive stance of Syria amid its war on terror, adding that Syrian government warmly welcomes all Indian companies and businesses, willing to participate in rebuilding Syria.
He also said the Syrian government is making necessary preparations to hold the joint Syrian-Indian committee meeting in the nearby future.
For his part, Sinha affirmed the Indian government’s determination to boost the economic and other relations with Syria.
The two countries have a long history of deeply rooted friendship.
