The latest incident surrounding the health of the Democratic Party’s candidate for US President has caused quite a stir in both American and Russian media.
After Hillary Clinton was forced to prematurely leave the mourning ceremony dedicated to the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, networks were filled with videos depicting her security guards literally carrying her into her car.
Hiding and ignoring her health problems became practically impossible. As Bloomberg accurately writes, Clinton’s headquarters has turned out simply unprepared for such a situation and, even if it couldn’t have been prevented, they could have foreseen such an incident.
Discussing the health of this or that politician is a slippery subject, and I really do not want to sink to the level of American media, which have long since entertained the seamy quasi-medical hysteria which has even been aimed at discrediting the Russian president. Even despite the fact that I have facts and evidence with which to attack Clinton, I’d rather not do so. I’m not one for working by Anglo-Saxon journalist standards, and this is probably for the best.
What is more important is what Hillary Clinton’s alleged pneumonia or stroke puts into question: what if the Democratic Party will have to replace her? Rumors appeared in the Western press just hours after Clinton’s fainting that an emergency meeting of the Democratic Party leadership is to be held tonight.
Is a possible replacement for Clinton beneficial for Russia? My answer is an unequivocal and firm “no.” Such would not be in our favor, and here’s why.
Hillary Clinton is in fact a sort of great success for us. She is simply an astronomical anti-rating, and as a person she is the perfect target for justified information attacks targeting her corruption schemes, her receiving money from Saudi Arabia, her private servers containing secret information, and so on.
What needs to be understood is that her bestial Russophobia is not a personal opinion or personal glitch, but the position of the part of the American political elite whom she represents.
Any candidate who would replace Clinton in the presidential race for the Democrats would be just as ardent of a Russophobe but, most likely, would not have nearly the number of skeletons in their closet or such a high disapproval rating.
Le’s take a concrete example: Tim Kane. He is the most likely candidate to replace Clinton seeing as how she has already chosen him as her potential vice president. It is likely that none other than his candidacy will be discussed at today’s emergency Democratic Party meeting.
Senator Tim Kane is a Democrat, but is famous for having always supported the Republican John McCain on key foreign policy issues. Yes, that McCain. In Kane’s fresh statements on foreign policy, we can see calls for imposing a no-fly zone over all of Syria, for example. Of course, this would be done without the agreement of Moscow or, what’s more, Damascus.
As for the icing on the cake that can help explain much of the behavior and career of this politician, we can note that he supports same-sex marriage and the right for same-sex couples to adopt children, even though he considers himself Catholic. How all of this coexists in a single head is decisively unclear, but it is absolutely clear that Hillary Clinton chose a worthy partner for herself who always wholeheartedly supports the start of a real world war.
Tim Kane is a kind of “Hillary in pants,” only more vigorous and not so low in the ratings. Based on this, I believe that we need to wish Hillary Clinton the courage and perseverance to literally sink her teeth into the right to run for election. Let her frighten voters with her coughing and outrageous statements. Things will only get better.
Lastly, I do not know how the elections in the US will end, but I have a feeling that I can’t help but share with you. The crisis of confidence in authorities, aging rulers with serious health problems, and a population which actively listens to “the voice of the enemy” – does this not remind you all of something?
The US is increasing coming to resemble the late USSR. Who knows, maybe the future president will be an American Gorbachev?
