The Ukrainian force in Donbass now exceeds the size of the armed forces of the People’s Republics. However, the enemy should know that Donetsk has up to 40,000 experienced fighters in reserve on the territory of the DPR. This was stated by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharenko, at a press conference in commenting on the threat of the Ukrainian side going on an offensive.
According to him, the bet is put on volunteers who have combat experience.
“If mobilization is necessary, then of course. The enemy exceeds us in number and significantly exceeds our number of military vehicles and weapons. But as for mobilization…I don’t feel right about calling to the army 18 year-old boys with no preparation or training. I think that a call for volunteers would be announced. This could yield between 30,000 to 40,000 on our territory alone. These are those people who have already experienced combat. Well, if it will be necessary, then we will announce a mobilization,” Zakharchenko stated.
