During a direct line with inhabitants of Odessa and Bessarabia, the head of DPR Alexander Zakharchenko spoke about what decrees he would pass if he became the President of Ukraine, and why he’s not going to attempt to kill Petro Poroshenko.
Zakharchenko was asked the question “what orders would you give if you became President of Ukraine. He replied that “if we really play the game “I am the President of Ukraine”, the first decree would be on the prosecution of those who started the civil war and who are responsible for the deaths of civilians. The head of the DPR said that he would start with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and finish with ordinary soldiers from the Ukrainian battalions.
However, speaking of Poroshenko, Alexander Zakharchenko noted that he would not assassinate him even after he was almost killed on the orders of Poroshenko. “To assassinate Poroshenko? I will not do that, and not because of a good attitude towards Poroshenko – I think you can guess how I feel about him,” said the head of the Donetsk Republic. In his opinion, the Ukrainian people need to organise the trial of Poroshenko, at least as long as there is a demarcation line between the security forces and Donbass.
“To me, Poroshenko is the man who gives the orders, the result of which killed my soldiers and my countrymen – civilians. If Kiev will try again to solve our conflict by force, then, sure, we are obsessed with a military victory… and we will refer to Poroshenko as being defeated,” Zakharchenko said. He noted that in this case, Poroshenko will be judged by the DPR.
