This was reported by usionline with reference to the head of Department of Preventive activities GUNP in the Odessa region, police Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Ishchenko.

Ishchenko said that the city will be flooded with police, and a provocation will not take place.

Odessans prohibited by the decommunizated law from wearing Soviet symbols will be suppressed. Also, on May 9th, it is forbidden to criticize the government.

No one can prohibit citizens from wearing the St. George's ribbon on this day, but the police are required to ask Odessans to remove symbols of Victory.
