On Thursday, May 26th, supporters of the establishment in the Kharkiv region of a special “Sloboda” region held an unusual-for-today march in the capital of Ukraine from the government building to the presidential administration in Kiev.
“Today we say “yes” to creating a special “Sloboda” region of development, as one of the key regions of Ukraine – Kharkiv – has become the locomotive of economic growth of our country,” said a participant of the march, leader of the public council of the “Sloboda” Alla Aleksandrovskaya to the “Ukrainian News Agency” .
She also recalled that on May 9th a petition in support of the establishment in the Kharkiv region of a special “Sloboda” region has gained more than 25,000 signatures, and therefore it must be considered by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
