The European Parliament became suspicious and said that it will conduct a detailed analysis of the facts surrounding the bankruptcy of Ukrainian banks.
As Chairman of the European Parliament’s Budgetary and Budgetary Control Committee Inge Graessle, said, for her and her colleagues an unploughed field is opening before them, because in recent years more than 70 banks have been closed in Ukraine. The reasons of liquidation of banks is very vague and, moreover, it is not clear what happened to the contained cash.
“Check all the facts and make appropriate conclusions… We discussed the bankruptcy of 72 banks in recent years and what happened to the money that nobody can find,” she said.
According to her, it is this question that the special commission will deal directly with in Brussels. Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian analytical center Aleksandr Ohrimenko said that the entire banking system of Ukraine is an example of absurdity and paradoxes.
